Unfortunately, this is not the case. In general, for those younger, car insurance is always an expensive proposition. So what can you do to get a better rate? You want to do insurance companies look at you in a better light. Try to keep the number of miles you drive every year low. The more time you spend behind the wheel, the more you are likely to be involved in an accident. If possible, park your car in a garage. An old four-door sedan will make insurance companies much more pleased to see that if you're driving a sports car brand new 400 horsepower. Finally, get a safety device as an alarm. These types of devices will also reduce your insurance bill. Many cars come with factory alarms these days if you already have an alarm. Once you have made one or more of the foregoing, it is time to shop. Go to some of the major insurance comparison sites on the web. Be prepared to spend an hour or two on these sites to enter your personal information and driving history.
