Veterinary Pet Insurance

Veterinary Pet InsuranceWhat is your opinion on veterinary pet insurance?

Thinking about buying .. interested in any evidence you want to share. :)

I have a little healthy 2 years old mixed poodle named Frenchie ..

I just got a kitten less than a year and insurance has already covered most of his exams vocational training and monitoring. She was ill during the first month without insurance, it will be difficult to get her any medical help they need.

There are many different views on the VPI well and you can check here: -

I had insurance for pets for a while and for me and my situation, I have not found very useful. The insurance costs were higher than the vet bills that I really ran. My pet is young and healthy at the time. I think it would be more beneficial for elderly pets or pets with health problems.

I have a border collie aged 7 and have been assured of his since day one. I paid $ 60 initial payment (7 years), then $ 20 per month. The $ 240 per year covers all inspection fees, all vacinations, 2 comprehensive exams, 5% of all surgeries and medications, including flight and heart worm. You easilyspend Juston twice that vaccination alone. Hope that helps. The more I want to know that no matter what it is supported. I have insurance why does not it??? /

I can speak from expierence it's great for large / XL dogs, we had a Great Dane that had wobblers (rare) and joint problems and pet insurance covered the surgery 7000 dollars that we pay only $ 150. Unfortunately, our puppy died, but I would say 100% to someone taking out insurance. Would you deny health care for children? no? a pet is your child:)

If you can afford it, this is probably not a bad idea. You do not want to wait until they get older or sick, because like with most people do not cover pre-existing conditions. It is better to be prepared. You never know what might happen and it is a safety net.
