Can I get unemployment or temporary disability if I work as an array of tasks? Well then here is my question. I work as a painting job grooming dogs. I hurt my hand (not at work) and cut a tendon ... I probably will not be able to work for about 3 months because of surgery needed. Is it possible that I can receive any type of temporary benefits in the State of New Jersey?
Here's the problem, since you're injured, you do not satisfy the requirement of ready, willing and able to work to receive unemployment benefits. I would try to collect disability, but as you work I would not take that risk. You really need to go on disability after your surgery and you can blow everything up and you find yourself in a lot of legal problems. I would try. Hell all other immigrants collect and should not be.
Certainly apply in the event of disability. Go to the Social Security Administration Web site. Report Abuse
Unemployment insurance benefits are determined by and worked properly taxable income of a certain amount of time. If that's all you ever did, and never received in 1099 that you paid tax on food and all other taxes, there is no unemployment insurance benefits for you and to admit that you worked under the table, its illegal for you and the employer. Insofar as it may seem, you do not work. Now, see if you can get disability or something, well-being most likely will be an option. Remember though, people with money in a bank account, and a history of paying rent and bills, must provide information about what gave them money, a tenant paying rent who will sign an affidavit that they have done, or a spouse paid for it all, and money is sufficient to cover all expenses of families. That's the bad thing about under the table, he has not built in benefits you up.
