Teacher LiabilityPosted on March 24, 2010. Five reasons why you should not be a yoga teacher Indeed, there is no reason why any of us can not be or do what we want, as long as you do not hurt anyone. You should always strive to be the best you can be. However, you may find that many people create obstacles in front of themselves, to avoid success. It's really ironic that we refrain from making achievements, and teaching of yoga is one of many objectives that are not fully realized. Here is a list of reasons why many good yoga practitioners do not pursue their goal of becoming a yoga instructor. "I'm too old to teach yoga." In fact, age is not a factor. There are many styles of yoga, and most common, outside of India, is Hatha Yoga and its many sub-styles. Although Hatha Yoga is the union of physical mastery, he is very gentle and vigorous style. It is necessary for mature, passionate, concerned about safety, and yoga teachers smoothly. The world population is aging and Yoga students are living longer. Who would have thought that hospitals and religious centers will be trying yoga teachers ten or twenty years? Therefore, yoga is easily accepted by society in general and does not apply to any one particular religious group. Some of the old barriers that have prevented the masses from being exposed to yoga are gone. "The dancers, martial artists and gymnasts perform better yoga postures that I can." Yoga is not dance, martial arts or gymnastics. This is not to take away the importance of the arts mentioned above. After all, I'm a martial artist, and I was originally introduced to Yoga in a setting in martial arts. Being a bit more flexible than the average is a gift. However, it does not serve as a top priority for the teaching of yoga. The best yoga teachers are those who can communicate and teachers tend to struggle to excel in yoga. Yoga teachers who are naturally flexible think everyone should be, too. This is not always the case, because there are limits within the skeleton some yoga students. This does not mean they can not increase or improve their flexibility, but the body of each person is unique. "Teaching yoga cost too much money." This is true in some cases, however, you can shop for the best way at the most affordable price. Some schools have on-site training programs Seva Yoga, where you can work for partial tuition. This is very similar to a college where there are scholarships for students who perform tasks on campus. There are also a variety of correspondence courses yoga, which allow flexible study hours, little or no travel and no additional charge. My wellness center offers such a course of yoga, and we have interns and graduates worldwide. "I do not want to teach yoga to a few students and I do not want to enter yoga now." Many yoga practitioners feel this way and that's fine. This is not a problem because if you are a teacher a few friends as a hobby, it is not necessary to go through the certification process. If your circle of friends begins to grow, it would be wise to get some type of liability coverage. There are a number of liability insurance programs to choose. You could buy a sport, yoga or the liability policy to cover your Home needs. You also need to learn as much as possible about the safety, anatomy, physiology and kinesiology. The reason I mention this so you do not hurt your yoga students. The compassion and knowledge to become a yoga instructor safely is very important. "I have a good paying job and teaching of yoga can not help my family." Like all new small businesses can not offer Yoga "bundles of cash now." You want to grow your business as an independent first.
