Supplemental Long Term Disability Insurance

Posted on February 3, 2010.
Supplemental Long Term Disability InsuranceI paid the additional insurance and LFE long-term disability for 4 years and a Circuit City bankruptcy refund!?

What posibilty get some money back that was not my fault the company went bankrupt, I think it was money waisted

You just have everything you paid for, term life and disability insurance during the period you were employed. Would you say that money has been wasted because you do not die or become disabled?

There is no money to return.

You were the life and protection against disability while you were employed, and therefore received the coverage you paid for.

Life and disability insurance through your former employer as long as you are employed. Makes no difference if you quit, got fired or the company has closed its doors. Your coverage still lasts only as long as you have your work.

None. You had the cover!

Just because you do not die or get disabled, does not mean that you get the insurance money back! The second, they go bankrupt, or if you lose your job, the coverage stops! You do not get "refunds" because you do not use it.

Just like buying lottery tickets - If your number does not appear, it does not mean that you can return the ticket for a refund!

No cause you paid life insurance to third. Since you had life insurance during the time you pay, you can not recover your money. It's like asking your money back for your car insurance because you never had an accident.

you are not anything - you have coverage as long as you pay. Circuit City does not assure you, the insurance has been issued by an insurance company. I hope this makes sense.

It is the cover term. You had coverage as long as you were employed. No refunds on this. Bankruptcy DC has nothing to do with it.
