Supplemental Disability Insurance

Supplemental Disability InsuranceSupplementary insurance during maternity leave?

I'm due in April and I would like to know if anyone has found an additional disability insurance to help with living expenses during maternity leave. My boyfriend and I have agreed for me to remove all summer and maybe the first year. This is her first child and do not want our baby is going into daycare. My friend is an independent and said not to worry, but I was wondering if pregnancy is considered a pre-existing condition and would not be covered under a type of Aflac.
The company I work for does not offer disability insurance extra if it is not an option for me.
In addition, if there is a supplemental medical insurance from my current health insurance covers only 70% of the delivery.

Thank you!

I get extra help through Aflac. However, Aflac policies work for me because I live in Iowa. Their policies differ from state to state according to the laws of the State. In Iowa, I am glad that they are assembled by listing pregnancy as a disease or illness, Aflac so I understand their disease or illness and hospital policies. Long story short, I will receive money as an individual and my baby will receive money as an individual (all gathered in one check) for several days but I'm in hospital , money for a vaginal delivery or c-sec, the money for up to 8 visits to the doctor of the year, more for other things I can think of from the top of my head right time.

I left with about $ 2,500 if my baby is on or after its due date, which will probably keep me afloat for 2 months of work.

Check with your local Aflac.

Pregnancy is not covered, but in most maternity leave is voluntary, not a disability, so still would not be covered.

Sorry, the only supplemental health coverage I could find while I was working full time (and therefore not eligible for Medicaid) became a second job. Today, there are places that negotiate discounts, but you already get that with your current health insurance so it would not benefit.
