Short Term Liability Insurance

I'll rent a car in California for 6 weeks. I do not have a car of mine, so I'm not the normal policy of automobile insurance of mine. I have a Visa Gold Card, which includes collision insurance, but I would not be without responsibility, etc.

Question: Are there better deal I can get to pay the company $ 10 - $ 15 per day for car rental? All ideas are welcome.

Unfortunately insurance companies will not sell you a policy unless you own the car. I'm not on the California law, but try contacting an independent insurance agent who writes for all types of companies. Ask them if you can buy a model of 6 months and the policy of collision on a car rental or leased. That might do it for you.
