Online Credit Card Protection

I used my credit card for online shopping but I was wondering if it was possible to use my debit card too? Will I need to enter my PIN online or how does it work? Sorry, I've never tried this way. So I do the same protections as if it were a credit card, I heard some people say that this is not the same.Thank you.

If your debit card is a VISA card you have the same protection as a credit card. If this is not a VISA - change it!

If you use the flow as if it were a credit card, then you're probably covered. Normally, debit cards are like a check ... are not covered for theft, but debit cards are relatively safe. They need a PIN and I have never seen an entry for a PIN online .. Be careful if you are prompted to provide your PIN.

Use your debit card for online shopping is risky - If you deal with nationally known mail order companies - all will be well. But online sites like eBay - credit card or Paypal - its' really sure.

Register your debit card to "Verified by Visa" and the visa will be protected against fraud.
