Medicare Part C is Medicare Advantage plans. They are similar to a Medicare supplement or Medi-gap policy in that they offer coverage to Medicare on the original. You can not have both a Medicare Advantage plan and a Medicare supplement.
The Medicare Advantage plans are administered by private insurance companies. The government pays the insurance company for each member. The private insurance companies can manage your health plan much more profitable than the government so they offer more benefits than original Medicare, as an annual review.
The Medicare Advantage plans pay Part A and Part B deductibles for you. You'll co-pays for all procedures involved.
The premium for policies complementary health insurance in my area run from $ 120 to $ 350 per month, depending on your age. The Medicare Advantage plans average premium of $ 27 for all ages.
Many Medicare Advantage plans, Part D also included. Your co-pays for prescriptions in a Medicare Advantage plan are generally less than your share with a Part D plan independently.
