Is an insurance company on my credit report UK? My husband and I live in Germany and had car insurance by a British company for a short period. Unfortunately, we did not say that the policy would be automatically renewed and we have changed our insurance back to USAA. Can a company report on our UK credit ratings? We received a letter from them indicating that we still have the entire balance of the police, but no reference to our credit reports if it has not been paid. They said only that the policy had been canceled until full payment. We really can not afford to pay double insurance, but we do not want to ruin our credit, either.
Thank you.
If the company operates as U.S. companies - you should be able to have company retroactively cancel the policy by sending them a letter requesting the cancellation of a return to the date you purchased the USAA policy, and including a copy of USAA policy showing the date of confirmation. While they are able to flat cancel the policy, you should not need anything.
I hope this helps. Good Luck
