Increased Cost Of Compliance

Posted on February 7, 2010.
Increased Cost Of ComplianceWhat are the real benefits of ISO compliance?

I belong to a research agency of compliance with ISO standards. I do not think the ISO itself with no real purpose, it seems like a bunch of lines for me. I am interested in any views on this issue, good, bad or otherwise. We repair equipment for government and it seems that everything he does is slow productivity and increased costs. My supervisor said that we have no problem with quality control, so I do not see where this is going to enjoy. I will not fight or referral system, but it seems if we become ineffective could be outsourced. What are the benefits of it I could not be seen on the end of documentation or elsewhere, or am I just biased?

It's a bit of a mixed bag.

This creates a lot of anger, frustration and paperwork. At the same time he systematized activities, and create consistent results. When I purchase travel I used to make factory inspections in the Far East, and you could see at a glance which ones were part of the ISO process. In general, they are not plants at low prices from the source, but they were generally more consistent quality.

Many of the impetus may come from customers - if your customers want you when you need it. And then once you have it, it becomes a barrier to entry for your competitors,

If it was decided that it will happen in your organization, hopefully it's the right decision. If it is so irritating sometimes, my opinion is it better to get positive about it through the process of implementation as quickly as possible.
