It was an S-Corp. In December 2006, a worker fell accidentallyy client from a Hoyer lift because straps are not completely secure. Client suffered hip fracture and tibia. Customer First refused to go to the hospital and insisted he be allowed to go to work everyday to protect the sheltered workshop bus. The worker said she could not force it if it allows it to be transported to the planned workshop. En route, the client then said he was in pain and was transported to the hospital. He was treated and drugs against pain and a link to the hip hip fracture hairline. He did well and recovered in 2 weeks. Now, in May 2009, I received a notice of the family is seeking medical bills (3000), and loss of work, since the client could not work in his studio at the shelter for 2 weeks and pain and suffering. The prosecutor who sent the letter requested an offer of "reasonable amount". Coming back I noticed that we have in December 2006 (corporation) is passed to a payroll service. That we have no responsibility to renew from a previous carrier. Then, in January 2007, because of the economy and change Medicaid law Provider, it was no longer viable to remain open, so we closed our doors. Now I learn that the service Payroll does not include liability! No action has been filed yet. Will I be forced to declare bankruptcy for the company and myself (the owner) personally? My house is a homestead in Florida and I do not have anything other than a 1996 Sebring. But my credit is not good either! What should I do? Should I write this lawyer and explain all this, there was no liability and I do not own any property? Or should I wait, and if proceeeds combination is forced to declare bankruptcy on the closing of the company and myself personally? I'm so worried I can not eat or sleep! S If you please give me some advice. Probably, yes - you are looking to the bankruptcy of the company and yourself. http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=free+le ...
