Guaranteed health insurance for small businesses - from Florida? I come from independent this year. I live in Florida has opened registration for the month of August (which is almost over) for small businesses. Would I benefit from this program? All my tax documents last year showed that I was not independent.
In the State of Florida - August is open enrollment specifically for sole proprietors or "groups of one." (2 or more are required to form a group plan for any time of year) .
These plans are usually very expensive because everyone is agreed on the plan, regardless of health issues. Unless you have major health problems, then it is almost always a way to buy a much cheaper individual health insurance program in FL.
In general, you'll have to show tax documents proving that you are a legitimate company and not just a company formed solely for the purpose of obtaining health insurance group.
You want to shop and compare quotes from at least 3 different companies. This is an independent agent will help you.
Here is some more information about Medicare Florida:
Although the insurance could be guaranteed, the definition of "small business" varies. It can be anywhere from four employees insured at least 100 insured employees.
Even if the policy is guaranteed issue, this does not mean you'll be able to pay premiums - there is no warranty on them, and if the group is quite small - less than 10 insured employees, you can bet that politics will always subscribed.
You will need to apply and find out.
