Posted on January 31, 2010.
Employer Public Liability InsuranceHelp with insurance - liability and employer liability?

I am working on an allowance for Indian Head Massage and I have no idea what the insurance, employers and public liablity means or what it implies.
Please could someone explain to me (do not copy and paste directly from wiki, because it does not help me!) Simply what this means please?
I searched the internet for ages now, and I do not understand at all: (
Thank you.

Unlike the employers' liability insurance coverage is required by law if you employ staff, liability insurance is not compulsory but is generally considered a key cover for companies looking to protect themselves against unexpected claims that could put the future of the venture. liability insurance must be purchased by any business that deals directly with the public or working away from home to other premises.

liability insurance for employers allows companies to meet the costs of compensation and legal fees. Employees injured due to negligence of the employer can still claim compensation even if the company has ceased trading. Even if you use the personal self, employees or unpaid volunteers, you may still need employers' liability insurance. Always check with your broker or your insurer when you take the new staff regardless of the criterion

public accountability is also known as general liability. responsibility of employers is a section of a policy of workers' compensation.

General Liability covers people who come and get hurt on your premises, with the exception of employees. employers' liability is somehow when the employee sues you, instead of filing a claim for workers.
