Disability Employers

Posted on March 9, 2010.
Disability EmployersHow can we deal with months or years of unemployment due to disability, without scaring away employers?

My work experience is uneven because of gaps caused by the disability. Although it is illegal to discriminate on the basis of disability, employers know see my work history that I may not be as safe a bet as a person without a disability will not give me a second look. Does anyone have suggestions on how to circumvent this problem, especially with online applications? (I live in a fairly small city less progressive PA)

Just do not cope. Choose one or two old jobs that the experience of the job offer for your CV. Any gaps of time that you were a manufacturer of home or self-employed during these periods. I am an employer and a commitment to hospitality is undoubtedly a good quality. Make your resume as a full service and comprehensive as possible, but to highlight the public education and jobs to many segmented. They want to meet you. Everyone needs a job just trying to find one that you can physically keep with.

You do not explain anything on your CV. Only when you are prompted during the interview, even if they ask.
If you feel the need to explain yourself, include a brief explanation on your front page

Online is probably not the place for your jacket. Try to put your request in person if you have a chance to make a good first impression.
