Direct Flights? I never found in the last 2-3 years a form of direct flight Brisbane, Australia to Tokyo (Narita) with Qantas. I know that Qantas and JAL is a code share (opperated by JAL), but i cannot find a direct flight with Qantas.
JAL is a top airline, but you may want to try new things. To fly Qantas I have to go through Cains or Sydney.
Do you agree with me that Qantas and JAL to 2 flights daily to Tokyo (Narita) and airlines make daily flights.
For example: make a JAL flight morning (as it is now 9 (land 5pm)) and Qantas to fly at night (10PM to 6am) from Brisbane
Do u agree???
Both JAL and Qantas signed a trade agreement called a joint operation, flying JAL certain route to Qantas and vice versa, both revenue share, profits, losses on certain routes.
According to JAL, Australia (Sydney probably excluding some cases) is a low yield means that this route is mainly occupied by tourists to pay reduced rates. There is never a profitable route. Not many business travelers based fying on this road.
Especially recent statistics indicating the number of Japanese visiting Australia fell by 10% in July 2006 compared to July 2005.
There is no real need to work 2nd day or by JAL or Qantas in Brisbane and Tokyo. It can be sustainable, based on the number of passengers, but when it is financially not feasible.
In case you've noticed, JAL is the transfer of operations from Australia to its JALways cost base unit.
JAL was supposed to chop Osaka-Paris Paris-Osaka this year, but continued to operate because there is a special offer this year for people who travel between the 2 countries. Consequently, JAL has decided to close the road in 2007/08 instead of this year.
It actually might work, there were not many cases as you have suggested. It is quite rare .... report abuse
