Commercial Vehicle Insurance

Posted on February 12, 2010.
Commercial Vehicle InsuranceWhat is the difference between the commercial vehicle insurance and private insurance?

What is the difference between the two when it comes to car hitting someone and it totaled? Is it true that commercial insurance companies are more likely to "replace" in relation to a car has a private insurance not to be pursued. So what is the practice of regulations after the car has been achieved? Anyone ever in an accident involving a company vehicle belonging to commercial insurance?

Whether a PAP (Personal Automobile Insurance) or BAP (auto sales), the same rules and laws apply where the claims of the automobile. The only difference is the amount of liabilities incurred by each ... BAP are generally much higher than PAP. So to answer your question, not a commercial carrier will not "replace" your vehicle reaches. The two carriers have the obligation to settle claims fairly and do their best to keep their policyholders out of court.

As regards the settlement of a total loss .... The law says if it's cheaper for the whole car than repair, because the repairs exceeds the value of the car and the car must be achieved. Financially, it makes no sense, whether your neighbor or to pay some company with deep pockets of your neighbor. You can "keep rescue", where you keep the car, you get the value of your vehicle, less the amount of recovery. At this point, you can pay for service, if you want, but the Insurance does not give you extra money during the repair process to pay b / c you have been compensated ... you do not receive benefit from both.

My experience with commercial carriers has been penny they pinch every penny, and they rarely pay directly for an application without first going through subrogation. On the rare chance, they have stepped up and made repairs to the first hand, they have been slow to react, slow to issue payments.

If your car is a total loss, the two carriers to provide you with the offer / and go with you always give the highest.

If you use your vehicle in a commercial or rental purposes, you must have commercial insurance. There is no practical difference between commercial insurance policies and private, they protect you both financially from any liability in the event of an accident.
