Commercial Marine Insurance

Posted on March 31, 2010.
Commercial Marine InsuranceOnly the insurance industry: Should I take the AU (Associate commercial underwriting) before or after?

taking CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter with a commercial concentration) program?
I am currently in the sales department of a well known insurance and financial services company. My current duties include making auto / property / gl / inland marine changes to existing policies, quote and issue new policies to coordinate the business of underwriting provided specific approval information, research and produce letters run loss, and answer questions Call Centre insured / agents / OAS on a casual basis. My ambitions are to become a higher level of professional insurance, something along the lines of a distributor or even an expert in commercial insurance. I have a BA in business administration general management and have obtained the INS Program (General Insurance) and AIS (Associates Insurance Services) designations. I am currently a student at ACS (Associate Customer Service) and will be taking it very soon. I'm on the fence that the designation of insurance I should go to the next test window. The AU is only 2 trials while the CPCU is 8 trials. Obviously, CPCU, it would still much work and effort and a time much longer, but it is stronger than the AU agreed that I prefer first. But if the AU would work in class to better understand all the CPCU program, so I should go in that direction. Any suggestions will help me with my career please! Thank you in advance.

If you get both anyway, take the first AU. If you only have one, go for CPCU. It's so hard, and so few people finish the program, it's worth much more in the long term.

Find specific customer requirements has long been a challenge. In fact, a survey of current suppliers of the automobile found that a significant number do not know where to go for the latest requirements applicable to specific customers. For registrars and end users, which represents a serious problem. How can rules be followed and enforced if they are not readily available?

It is to meet these challenges in mind customerspecifics.com was created. Here you will find a community to access, share and discuss specific customer requirements.

Please understand that the contents of this site will take some time to develop as we work hand in hand with each of you to build a comprehensive database of thousands of specific customer's needs is available. I also got my INS and AIC (Associate in Claims) years. I worked for an insurance company that has been very proactive in taking over insurance, to the extent that they said was the only way to go. While taking these classes, I also go to school at night while working full time to them to get my degree in law.

The CPCU is very intense and can be difficult to pass. Since your current goal would be to go for subscription, it would be wise to go beyond 1 AU for only 2 classes and will help you understand your job better. Then, after that, go to the CPCU.

Also, if you were changing jobs Thurs choice or because of the economy laid off, it will look good on a list of all the degrees you've learned to your resume that you have done. Even if you meet the other and only certain parts of the CPCU password can also list them.
