Autodirect404-page redirect to another server?

I am moving sites from one server to another and will not be able to keep the same server name. I have a 404 page on the old server will automatically redirect to the new server with the same parameters. In other words www.schmoo.com / self-direction to hello.htm should www.moose.com / hello.htm and self-direction should www.schmoo.com/hello1.asp to www.moose.com/hello1.asp.

Is there a quick and easy reading (: already written) custom 404 page that I can attach to that?

In your place the tag file 404.html <head> following:

<Meta http-equiv = "refresh" content = "2; url = http://your.new/url.html" ...

You need to ensure that error pages custom function is activated on your server.

If your server allows script, use the Response.Redirect method for best results. If you do not know what it is, then go to the refresh method above.

yes
