Arizona Small Business And Health Insurance

Posted on January 17, 2010.
Arizona Small Business And Health InsuranceBenefits for Small Businesses - How do I start?

I have a very small LLC (5 employees). All are part-time at the moment, although I plan to hire at least one full-time in the near future. They expressed their interest in the benefits. I do not have health insurance and wish to be included in a group plan. I have no idea how to start and can not hire an HR person at this time. I read this ... http://articles.directorym.com/Your_Comp which refers to companies that can help me put together the Arizona employee benefit packages, but I wonder if there is a special permit for the person who can help me so I can go around? How do I find the right person to help me? I do not even know the search terms specific to research on my own. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can get quotes from ehealthinsurance.com, healthinsurance.org, and Aetna.com humana.com There are several other companies that will give you quotes. You just need to search for health insurance and fill in the blanks or make phone calls.

You probably do not need a pro. It might even be against-productive. Call around to local insurance agents and see who wants to come talk to you. It's like buying something else for a small business. You do not need a complete "employee benefit plan, you need a specific item (health group is usually what people want). After your meeting with some, you know what is available and how you can contribute, then see if your employees pay their share. Everyone wants to "benefits" when someone else pays.

But in my humble opinion you should not delegate this, excpet perhaps one of your employeees.

I looked into the same thing here in New Jersey. I own a single-member LLC with two employees.

Start with your state website, the site of Jersey has a small business portal for residents, Arizona should have something similar. There, they must provide the insurance companies providing plans for small businesses in your state and the rate of these plans.

See also the website for more information SBA.GOV. They have professionals who can help from SCORE that offer free advice.

Common situation you met like many other people, be patient and check the resource here http://www.HealthInsuranceIdeas.info/free-online-health-insurance.htm I found useful.
