Aetna Long Term Disability

Posted on January 26, 2010.
Aetna Long Term DisabilityDo I need long-term disability on my taxes?

I work in a very large company and we use our Aetna provider of long-term disability. I pay a monthly fee for this benefit. When I received my W2 from my company, it has been very low since it only appeared to pay my accident. My accident was not at work and it is therefore not a claim for workers. I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing my taxes now off the W2 or will I get another Aetna covering from June until December 31? Thank you for any help you can give me.

All income is taxed in a certain extent. We must all be declared.

If you paid for the policy with tax money, after any of the benefits are not taxable.

If you paid for the policy with after tax dollars, it is not taxable. Otherwise, it is taxable and you will receive another W-2.
